Yesterday we drove down to Oasis State Park in eastern New Mexico. When we got here the temperature was close to 70 degrees and the trees were green.

On closer inspection the green was the developing seeds, not leaves, but still.

The sites here are very nice.

I think Matey and I will be able to spend some time outside.

I think this park gets its name from the small artificial lake that is here.

It’s pretty enough and has some trails…

but the sand dunes are the highest hills around!

The spring weather is certainly welcome.

But Bud and I both miss the mountains.
It is interesting scenery, but I, too, like the mountains!

Sharon & I stayed there in this interesting place for a short stay as well. Sharon lost her new hat there. Maybe you found it.

No, but I almost lost my old one. Plenty of wind here. Next stop is Palo Duro if Maverick is ready to travel.

I know what you mean about the green. It’s fun to see each day the new flowers and leaves emerging here.
That really is flat!!
